Dave is a graduate of Fergus Falls high school and North Dakota State College of Science plumbing program and went on to complete a four-year apprenticeship in plumbing, high-pressure steam, and welding. He worked as a professional plumber at another firm for 10 years before launching Plumbers, Inc. with Cory in 2007.

A graduate of Underwood High School, Cory Samp graduated from the plumbing program at North Dakota College of Science. Upon graduation he completed an apprenticeship in Portland Oregon for two years, following by five years in Moorhead, MN, before launching Plumbers, Inc. with Dave.
